The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park is pleased to invite applications for multiple tenure-track/tenured positions anticipated in mechanical engineering at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. The Department will consider all areas pertinent to the mechanical engineering discipline.
Successful applicants will have demonstrated outstanding scholarly research and will have expressed strong interest in engineering education. Qualification for the position is a doctorate in engineering or a related field that must be completed by the start date in the position. Those considered for the Associate and Full levels must demonstrate an established record in research. The successful candidates are expected to teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, to develop an internationally-recognized, externally-funded research program, and to contribute to the operation and promotion of the department, college, university, and profession through service.
