TR24 Formula at May 2024 FSAE Competition

Every year, Terps Racing Formula undertakes the design, building, and competing of a new open wheel race car against 120+ other schools. This image features TR24 the latest and greatest FSAE entry from the Clark school. In this image the team is pushing the car to the start of the dynamic events for the 2024 competition where a third place trophy was brought home in the skidpad event.

Robotics at Maryland – Terraformer’s Rover

Robotics at Maryland (R@M) is a student-run UMD organization dedicated to cultivating a holistic understanding of robotics, encompassing design, fabrication, assembly, and testing, to equip members for real-world engineering challenges. R@M is composed of three teams: Qubo, Terraformers, and Testudog, each focusing on different robotics competitions. Terraformers’ goal is to compete in the Mars Society – International University Rover Challenge at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah. Our rover, Terry, is currently under development, and members are working on enhancing its mission capabilities. For competition, Terry will autonomously complete navigation, science, servicing, and delivery objectives. Using a sophisticated robotic arm, electronics, and science systems, Terry will traverse difficult terrain and perform experiments to identify signs of life. Our team is continuously working to develop the rover’s systems to make it competition ready and we are always seeking new members regardless of year or major!
