Description
The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Center at Clemson University invites applicants for a non tenure track, full time, 12-month Post Doc position to begin during the Spring 2021 semester. Candidates with experience in CAD / CAE / CAM software tools and PLM processes are being sought, including practical expertise in implementing and using Dassault Systems and Siemens software. The individual is expected to actively contribute to the PLM Center’s mission of teaching, research, and industry support on these concepts and tools. The candidate will lead PLM workshops and short courses, undertake research projects using digital design software, and help strengthen community outreach including the Industrial Consortium.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a PhD degree in engineering or a closely related field. They should have CAD / CAE / CAM software experience, expertise in PLM applications, and excellent communication plus organization skills. The dynamic self-starting individual must be comfortable developing and teaching PLM course materials to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as continuing educational professionals in both classroom and virtual e-learning settings. PLM software research and development projects will be conducted in an individual as well as collaborative setting with students, faculty, and staff. Some travel will be expected primarily within the State of South Carolina including to the CU ICAR and CURI campuses in Greenville, SC and Charleston, SC as well as online instruction.
