The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park is

engineering at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels. Specific research areas of interest
include but are not limited to: high temperature materials with applications in turbomachinery,
combustion, and nuclear systems; multi-scale thermal characterization of materials; low-carbon, clean
fuel energy systems; energy storage and battery systems; experimental fluid mechanics; robotics;
mechanobiology; human-machine interface; and advanced manufacturing of flexible electronics and
