Open Faculty Positions at the University of Illinois, Chicago

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in various areas of Mechanical Engineering including but not limited to fluids, robotics, energy, and manufacturing. Experimental, theoretical and computational scientists are all welcome to apply. Individuals will also be considered at associate or full professor rank if they possess outstanding qualifications commensurate with the rank. Successful applicants are required to have an earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and are expected to develop and maintain an active, externally-funded research program as well as teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, and currently has an undergraduate enrollment of about 800 and a graduate enrollment of about 280.
