The Department of Technology Management and Innovation and the Center for Urban Science and Progress, both in Tandon School of Engineering, NYU, invite applications for two tenure track positions at the level of Assistant Professor with joint appointment between the two units, with earliest start date of September 1, 2023.
We are looking for candidates with expertise and interest in the intersection of technology, innovation, and people, in particular as they apply to smart cities and urban environments.
Qualifications:
We encourage applications from candidates with expertise and interest in establishing research programs with emphasis on, but not limited to, the following areas:
* Human-technology interaction
* Sociotechnical urban systems
* Urban innovation
* Technology management in smart cities
* Entrepreneurship and smart cities
* Design thinking and smart cities
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in management, engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates must demonstrate clear potential for scholarship, leadership, curricular innovation, entrepreneurship, and funding. All candidates must demonstrate or show potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring.
