The College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Institute of Technology (NY Tech) seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering, Long Island (Old Westbury, NY) campus. Open to all areas of Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
Perform research and scholarship activities.
Maintaining weekly office hours.
Participating in all departmental/school activities that advance the goals of the department/school, i.e. Open House, recruitment events, service on departmental and collegewide committees, curriculum development, etc.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related area.
Excellent communication skills, and a solid track record in academia or industry. Commitment to teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required.
Record of sponsored research with external grants and/or industrial experience is preferred.
