The successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. The Department seeks faculty with enthusiasm and promise for excellence in teaching across our curriculum, particularly courses tailored to first-year students and subsequent design courses that provide experience for professional practice. The ability and commitment to pursue an independent research program of high quality is required. Strong applicants will have research expertise that expands the capabilities of the department.
